Thanks to another dominant team performance, the Valpo women's soccer team ousted Green Bay 2-0 in a Horizon League Tournament quarterfinal match. Jackie Knodratko led the VU offense, scoring a goal in each half to get the Crusaders onto the scoreboard. The Brown & Gold were solid defensively as well. They only allowed 7 Phoenix shots, none of which were on goal, giving Mele Cebral an easy shutout. This was the 5th straight shutout for the senior netminder, and it was also the 5th straight 2-0 win for the Crusaders as a team. With the victory, Valpo travels to Milwaukee for a Horizon League semifinal match against the 2nd-seeded Wright State Raiders on Friday.
