Payment Options

Payment Due Date: Pay your balance in full by August 15 for the fall semester and December 30 for the spring semester.

Payment Plan (TMS): Valparaiso University partnered with Tuition Management Services (TMS) to offer deferred payment plans for the convenience of those students and parents who may wish to spread payment over the semester or school year. Under the plans, monthly payments may be arranged for the payment of tuition, fees, room and board. TMS offers a yearly and a semester plan.

Spread your payments over 12 or 10 months, interest-free, by enrolling in the TMS Monthly Payment Plan for the year. This plan begins May 1 or July 1, respectively. There is a $55 annual enrollment fee. Semester plans are also available. The enrollment fee for a semester plan is $35. Contact Tuition Management Services, toll free at 888-356-0350 or online at for enrollment information.

The semester plan will be mandatory for those students who do not have sufficient financial aid or other resources, are not enrolled in a TMS plan and have not met the semester payment due date. Automatic enrollment is approximately two weeks following the semester due date and a $35 fee will be charged to your student account. THE TMS SEMESTER PLAN REPLACES THE VALPARAISO UNIVERSITY PAYMENT PLAN FOR THE SEMESTER.

An explanation of the plans are included with the fall and spring preliminary account statements that are available via student’s University e-mail address approximately three weeks prior to the start of each term.

Summer Sessions: All charges for summer sessions must be paid in full before the session ends. Statement notices are e-mailed to the student's University e-mail address about a week after the start of each session.

We also accept American Express, MasterCard, and Discover credit cards online or by telephone voice response system. There is a processing fee charged when using a credit or debit card.
