Valparaiso University Alumni Association (VUAA)

You and the more than 50,000 alumni of Valpo make up the VUAA. Since 1934, the association has worked to strengthen the relationship between the University and its alumni. Membership in the VUAA is free and open to any graduate or former student having completed at least one semester.

An active board of directors manages the programs, events, and activities of the association. Board members are actively involved with regional and national programs designed to advance the mission and strategic plan of the University.

The VUAA board of directors maintains a balance in its membership that reflects the demographic and geographic characteristics of the entire alumni population. In recruiting new members to the board, a nominating committee seeks input from all alumni and actively recruits new members annually. If you are interested in a position on the board, or would like to recommend someone, please contact us at alumni@valpo.edu.

For more information about the Alumni Association Board of Directors or for a list of current board members, visit the VUAA page.

Valparaiso University Parents Council

The mission of the Valparaiso University Parents Council is to serve an ambassadorial role promoting and supporting Valpo, and act as a liaison between parents, students and the University. The Parents Council does this by providing various activities for parents, such as the Parents Council Welcome Tent on move-in day and Family, Sibs and Kids Weekend in October. Parents Council members also are on hand during FOCUS, Valpo's new student orientation, to provide a touch point for parents and answer questions. The Parents Council also reaches out to the parents of incoming students three times per year with the Valpo Parent newsletter. The group meets twice per year on campus, and membership is made up of 30 parents of current undergraduate students.
