Lynn Grantz, an instructor in the Teaching of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) program, recently presented a workshop on working with international students.
The overall goals of the workshop were:
- To better understand the background of international students and how their culture impacts their writing styles.
- To develop empathy for international students and the experience they share as non-native English speakers in the U.S. and at Valpo.
