Valparaiso University Theatre Department auditions are open to all students

Floyd Collins by Adam Guettel and Tina Landau

Auditions: Jan. 12 and 13, 7-11 p.m., University Theatre

Call Back: Jan. 14, 7-11 p.m., University Theatre

Regular rehearsal: To be announced
Technical rehearsal: To be announced
Performance: April 13 - April 17

(Rehearsals times are generally Tuesday through Friday 7:00-11:00pm, and Saturday 1:00-5:00pm. Times may vary slightly during technical rehearsals.)

Sign-up slots and audition information sheets will be posted on the callboard next to the scene shop a few days prior to the general auditions.  All auditionees should prepare a 90-second monologue and 90 seconds of song from any Broadway musical for the general auditions.  Scenes and songs selected from the Floyd Collins script and score will be posted for callbacks.
Perusal copies of the script will be available for checking out in the main office of the VUCA, near Dr. Orchard's office.

Circle Mirror Transformation:

Open Auditions: January 12, 7 p.m. in the University Theatre (combined with Bright Beach Memoirs auditions)
Callbacks: January 13, 7 p.m. in the Studio Theatre

For open auditions, please prepare a 1 to 2 minute monologue from any contemporary play. Sign up sheets and audition forms will be available on the call board the day students return for spring semester, Wednesday, January 11, 2012.

Call backs will include cold readings from the play.
