The People of Valpo
It’s the people of Valpo that help set us apart from other universities.
Many colleges may use the same textbook for a class, but it’s the faculty member teaching the class that can make the course distinctive. Valpo’s faculty members are chosen for their ability as teachers, although they also regularly engage in professional research--often with their students working alongside--and other scholarly activities. They are enthusiastic about their disciplines, and they are accessible to students for brief after-class chats or for more lengthy discussions.
The student body is diverse and reflects a variety of ethnic, socio-economic and religious backgrounds. This diversity enriches student life while the Midwestern friendliness that permeates campus provides an atmosphere that fosters the development of lifelong friendships.
Enrollment at Valpo is entrance into a special community that includes thousands of alumni providing leadership in professions, communities and churches throughout the world. Their success further enhances the reputation of Valpo.
