The University Chorale has been invited as the only international choir to perform in 2017 in Wittenberg, Germany, at the 500th anniversary commemoration of the Reformation.
“The Valparaiso University Chorale is honored to accept the invitation to join in the 500th anniversary of the Reformation in the very spot where Martin Luther posted his 95 theses,” says Christopher Cock, DMA, Phyllis and Richard Duesenberg Chair in Lutheran Music and director of the University Chorale. “Since 2004, the Chorale has sung in many historically significant churches in Germany, and our visit in 2017 promises an opportunity to showcase the excellence of the Chorale.”
Valpo will host a variety of events on campus to commemorate the Reformation.
