Sorority members break ground on new housing facility

In March, Valpo broke ground on its new sorority housing facility located on the northwest corner of Union Street and University Park Blvd., across from the Athletics-Recreation Center. Six townhouse-style units for 150 women and a carriage house for a full-time residential learning coordinator are planned. Move-in is scheduled for December 2015.

“Sorority women lead and serve in many capacities at the University, and these facilities will allow the women to increase their involvement and connection to the University and the larger community,” says Carolyn Whittier, Ph.D., assistant dean of students for Greek Life.
