Guild Publishes Second Edition of Valpo Prayer Book

The Valparaiso University Guild is producing a second edition of its popular Valpo book of prayer, available for purchase this summer.

“In Thy Light We See Light - The Valparaiso University Prayer Book” features prayers and devotions written by Valpo students, faculty, and staff, as well as prayers from other sources, that reflect both the liturgical and academic year.

A team of students was involved in creating the book, including its theme, content, photography and marketing.

The book is dedicated to the VU Guild, a campus organization committed to enhancing the student experience. The Guild provided funding for the printing of the book.

Bill Karpenko ’61, who retired in 2007 as VU’s director of church relations, is primary editor. Assistant editors are professors George Heider and Fred Niedner and university pastor Joseph Cunningham.
