What a fun month it’s been with VAN members dropping in to say hi, both “with warning” and as a surprise (see the VAN Activities column).  I’m looking forward to seeing more of you in a couple of weeks at Homecoming, and the following weekend at the Presidential Inauguration!  The Homecoming announcement flyer did not include in it this year all of the open houses and activities run by various departments (like the VAN open house). So if you’re wondering whether your academic department, sports team, etc. is hosting an event, go to the Homecoming activities website at http://www.valpo.edu/alumni/homecoming/activities/index.php . You’ll find the VAN open house listed there – on Saturday from 3:30-5:30 at Maria Elena’s Restaurant on Greenwich Street, two blocks west of the Athletics Recreation Center. This is always a fun opportunity to mingle with other alumni and parents who have the same desire to “share Valpo” as you. Let me know if you plan to stop by so that I am prepared with enough hors d’oeuvres and drinks for you!
