Tony Paske along side Wolf Blitzer of CNN
After their undergraduate days, most Valpo students like to settle down and begin their life after college with a good job. And while VU alumnus Tony Paske certainly has begun a great career, settling down in one place is one thing that has yet to happen.
Following graduation, Tony traveled for the VU Office of Admission for a semester, representing Valpo at high school visits and college fairs. After the busy fall travel season came to a close, he took a job with ProMotion, Inc, a mobile marketing company based in St. Louis. In the two and a half years since joining the company, Tony has logged over 60,000 miles on the road working as a field ambassador for different clients such as Bosch Power Tools, Campbell's Soup, and CNN. Currently he and fellow alum Tom Schmidt (VU '05) are preparing to launch a new CNN tour called Fit Nation that will take them to Atlanta, New Orleans, Denver, San Diego, and Chicago between now and July.
Looking back on his days at Valpo, Tony's favorite memories come from participation in different clubs and organizations. He notes, "The experiential learning I attained through Greek life, Student Senate, and Intramurals prepared me to excel in a team-oriented environment. I was surrounded by some of Valpo's most outstanding leaders, and I formed many great friendships that still exist today." Beyond that, Tony acknowledges that the skills he gained through Valpo's CBA program have allowed him to shine amongst his peers.
After making tour stops in 28 states and passing through all but Alaska and Hawaii, Tony will finally be able to settle down soon with a home base in St. Louis as he is on track to take over as a Project Manager for one of ProMotion's most high-profile clients. But even though this VAN member will have his own place, he'll never forget just how great it was when there was always a Valpo friend to show him around and make him feel right at home wherever he found himself.
