What Cookies Can Teach Us about Grading Rubrics
The workshop takes place on Thursday, February 23, from 3-4 p.m. in the Brown and Gold Room of the Harre Union.
This hands-on session will include a lab with an edible assignment. We’ll use chocolate chip cookies to help explain the value of grading rubrics. Bring your own milk!
The goals of this session are:
● To explain to faculty the way to create useful grading rubrics
● To demonstrate the usefulness of valid rubrics
● To imagine the ways grading rubrics can help students achieve more in class
This session will be facilitated by Jen Gregory, director of Instructional Design, VITAL. Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, February 20.
