The book American Railroad China: Image and Experience by author Charles G. Kratz, Jr., produced by the Brauer Museum of Art,  has recently been announced as a first place winner in its category for the American Association of Museum's national publication design competition.

The book will be featured in a special section of the July/August issue of Museum, AAM's magazine. It will also be on display at the convention center during the 2009 AAM Annual Meeting and Museum Expo.

This publication was especially written in conjunction with the exhibition The Christopher Railroad China Collection: The Art of Dining on Rails and contains contributions by the collector Jay W. Christopher, Brauer Museum director/curator Gregg Hertzlieb, and renowned author and railroad filmmaker Richard Luckin.
