Latin at Valpo

The first step to taking a Latin class at Valpo is to take the Placement Exam

Katherine majored in Classical Civilizations and English Literature and now works as an editor.

1 – Use this username and password

Username = webexam
Password = valpo383

2 – Indicate the reason for taking the exam

Choose “Placement – Summer FOCUS”

3 – Complete the survey

When you complete the required survey on your previous language study, click on the START TEST button at the bottom of the screen to begin the exam.

4 – Take the exam

You will have 90 minutes to complete the exam. Once you answer the last question, you will have the option to review and change your answers to earlier questions by using the PREVIOUS button. When you are ready to submit your exam, click on END EXAM at the bottom.

5 – Note your placement

0 – 14 correct = LAT 101
15 – 25 correct = LAT 102
26 – 64 correct = LAT 203
65 – 105 correct = Advanced Latin

6 – Print off your results

Once you complete the exam, you will see your results on the screen. Print off this page for your records and bring it with you when you come to campus for Summer FOCUS.
