This page allows you to send a draft of your writing to a consultant in the Valparaiso University Writing Center. Consultants attempt to respond to drafts within five business days. We will not “fix” your paper. We will spend approximately 1/2 hour reading and responding to your paper on two or three of the following points:

  • academic conventions
  • organization
  • evidence (integrating, citing, effectiveness)
  • coverage (in terms of the assignment)
  • syntax, sentence structure, & word choice

If you believe your paper will require more time and attention, then please revise and make an appointment to visit with one of our tutors.
