Homecoming Worship

To mark the end of Valpo’s Lutheran Centennial celebration, we are closing Homecoming 2025 with a special worship service (it’s also Reformation Sunday!), and we want your help! Please complete the form below to indicate your interest in serving during the worship service. Chapel staff will reach out if there are opportunities for you to serve. Please note there are limited volunteer opportunities available.

Even if you are unable to serve, we hope you will still mark your calendars for Homecoming worship on Sunday, October 26 at 10:00 a.m.

Following worship, we continue the celebration with a brunch at 11:30 a.m. in the Harre Union. This is a paid event – attendees must register with the Homecoming site.

In 1925, the Lutheran University Association purchased Valparaiso University, establishing it as an independent Lutheran institution committed to educating the laity. A century later, the University remains rooted in that mission, even as it has grown in size and scope.

Under the theme “Enduring Faith, Eternal Joy,” we honor those who built and sustained Valpo while looking to Jesus, “the pioneer and perfecter of our faith,” to guide us forward. As we celebrate, we invite the community to reflect on how God is calling Valpo to live out its Lutheran identity today and in the years to come.
