Valparaiso University OneCard IDs are available for all members of the Valpo community including students, faculty, and staff. In order to receive your Valparaiso University OneCard ID at the OneCard Office, you must have a valid, government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, passport or visa), have registered and confirmed your classes, and have your photograph taken while in the OneCard Office or submitted online. Individuals must be wearing normal street attire, and uniforms should not be worn in photographs except for religious attire that is worn daily. Your photo should show a clear, full face, front view. Do not look down or to either side. Your photo should display your head, including both face and hair, from the crown of the head to the tip of the chin, and from hairline side-to-side. Head coverings are only acceptable if associated with religious beliefs, provided the head covering does not:

  1. Obscure a full front view of the face
  2. Cast a shadow onto the face
  3. Display any graphic design other than the overall pattern of the fabric or material
  4. A person wearing a traditional facemask or veil that does not permit adequate identification is not acceptable

Prescription glasses may be worn for the photo; however, there should be no reflections from the eyeglasses obscuring the eyes. Dark glasses or nonprescription glasses with tinted lenses are not acceptable unless they are needed for medical reasons. A medical certificate may be required. The photo must be on a white or neutral solid color background and appear similar to a U.S. Passport photo.  The key requirement for the Valpo OneCard ID is that the photo clearly identifies the cardholder. Your card will be printed and ready within a few minutes.

Note: Faculty/Staff must have authorization in the form of a Certification of Employment from Human Resources.
