You are invited to experience Holy Week services at the Chapel of the Resurrection.
Palm Sunday, March 25, at 10 a.m. we celebrate the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, one week before his resurrection (Matthew 21:1–11). Palm Sunday marks the start of what is often called “Passion Week,” or Holy Week, the final seven days of Jesus’ earthly ministry. University Pastor Charlene M. Rachuy Cox (ELCA) will preside. Special guest preacher is Bishop Emeritus Munib Younan, of The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land. Special music by Men’s Ensemble and Women’s Choir.
Maundy Thursday, March 29, at 7 p.m. commemorates Christ’s last supper. There is a time of absolution, foot washing and Holy Communion. University Pastor James A. Wetzstein (LCMS) preaches and presides. Special music by Kantorei.
Good Friday, March 30, at noon is the somber day on which we remember Christ’s death on the cross. University Pastor James A. Wetzstein (LCMS) preaches and presides. Special music by Kantorei.
Easter Vigil, March 31, at 8 p.m. is a service of readings, baptism and affirmation of baptism, and Holy Communion in anticipation of Easter Sunday. University Pastor James A. Wetzstein (LCMS) presides. Special music by Kantorei.
The Resurrection of Our Lord, Sunday, April 1, at 10 a.m. with pre-service music starting at 9:45. Special music by the Kantorei, Chamber Concert Band and Resurrection Ringers. University Pastor Charlene M. Rachuy Cox (ELCA) will preach and Rev. Brian T. Johnson will preside.
Easter BBQ, Sunday, April 1, 4 to 6 p.m. Stop by the Chapel for free food, games and fun, sponsored by Chapel Peer Ministers.

In addition to these services, during our time of Morning Prayer for Holy Week (March 26-29) please join us for our Holy Week Prayer Around the Cross service at Morning Prayer each day from 10 to 10:20 a.m. Location: Gloria Christi Chapel (downstairs, east end). On Thursday, March 29 (Maundy Thursday) our Morning Prayer service will include the option of Holy Communion and foot washing. There is no Morning Prayer on Good Friday.
