The Counseling Center and University pastors are teaming up to present a series of programs called Living Responsibly as a Sexual Being.
Two programs will be presented in the fall semester, with the first on Tuesday, Oct. 3rd at the Helge Center, 7:30 to 9 p.m. This will be an introduction to the series. A panel of presenters will talk about the positives and negatives of human sexuality — biologically, psychologically, spiritually, and culturally. Panelists are Dr. David Weber, lecturer in theology; Rev. Erica Gibson-Even, Pastor of Christ Lutheran Church, Valparaiso; Joseph Frake, associate director of International Students & Scholars; and Adam Antone, director of campus outreach for St. Teresa’s. Those in attendance will then break into round-table discussion groups.
The second program is set for Nov. 7th and will focus on affirmative sex, consent, hook-up culture, and sexual assault. This is set for 7:30 to 9 p.m. in Ballroom A of the Harre Union.
Space is limited. Reserve your spot for each event by e-mailing: email@example.com.
Two spring semester programs will address the topics of internet porn addiction, friendship, celibacy, and intimacy.
