Interdisciplinary Programs
In addition to its 23 departments, the College of Arts and Sciences offers a number of interdisciplinary and pre-professional programs of study. These programs are coordinated by committees composed of faculty members from one or more departments of the College of Arts and Sciences (and, in some cases, faculty from Valparaiso University’s other colleges) who are drawn together by their interest in a particular subject not defined by boundaries of the traditional academic disciplines.
