Antoine Busby, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor of Management

Dr. Antoine Busby is an Assistant Professor of Management in Valprasio, Indiana. Dr. Busby received his Ph.D in Management and Organizational Studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Dr. Busby also received his Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Louisiana State University. Prior to beginning his doctoral work, Dr. Busby served as a university police officer at Louisiana State University for thirteen years (six years at the rank of patrol sergeant).
Currently, Dr. Busby focuses his research on emotions in the workplace. Specifically, Dr. Busby is interested in the negative effects emotional regulation has on the well-being of employees. Dr. Busby is also interested in understanding the dynamics of interactions between police officers and minority citizens. Currently, Dr. Busby is examining trickle-down models on organizational injustice as it pertains to the differential treatment of minority citizens at the hands of today’s police officers.
