Therefore, admission decisions are made with a holistic view, based upon past academic performance, work experience, professional and/or academic references, and a personal essay. GRE or GMAT are optional.
Valpo’s flexible MBA program is tailored to fit your schedule with six start dates throughout the year, the option for a one-year accelerated MBA, and the opportunity to take courses both in-person (with an on-demand hybrid option) and online. Pursue your MBA wherever you are.

- Reflective Essay: A one-page personal statement explaining how a MBA will help you meet your career goals. Upload using your application portal.

- Permanent Residents:
- Provide Proof of Residency such as green card, permanent residency document or a copy of your visa which shows that you are eligible to be a student. Upload using your application portal.
- English proficiency: Please use institution code 1874 and your score sheet will be sent to us electronically. English proficiency may be demonstrated by the following (but is not limited to):
- Official Transcripts: Please request official electronic transcripts be sent directly from all institutions attended to Graduate.School@valpo.edu.
- GMAT or GRE scores are optional: The GMAT or GRE are common application requirements for MBA programs, providing a measure of a candidate’s analytical and writing abilities. A strong GMAT or GRE score can be helpful for applicants with less than 5 years of professional work experience and/or few examples of quantitative coursework. In these cases, taking the GMAT or GRE can supplement and strengthen an application.

International Applicants – 1 Start Date in August Each Year, Application Deadline May 15, 2021
Valparaiso University welcomes applications from qualified international students. At present, more than 40 nations are represented in the University’s student population. Our application requirements and guidelines about the F-1 student visa are summarized below. There is one start date per year in August (Fall) for the MBA with General Business; there are no Spring or Summer intakes. Applications for 2021 are now open.

- Certification of Finances: The Certification of Finances is a financial guarantee that you have funds available to cover all educational and living expenses for the first 9 months of your degree or $38,020 USD. Please have the person sponsoring your expenses sign the affidavit and attach a sponsorship letter or bank statement showing at least $38,020 USD. Upload via your application portal. - A copy of a current passport showing your full name and date of birth: Scan and upload using your application portal.

- Official Transcripts – Please submit official transcripts with both original and English translations of all university courses in which you have been enrolled.
- Unofficial transcripts may be uploaded through your application portal, but official copies must be submitted prior to beginning classes.
- The undergraduate transcript should indicate the degree earned.
- Transcripts should be sent directly to our office by the Registrar of your undergraduate and/or graduate university or institute.
- Do not send high school or secondary transcripts.
- Diploma/Degree Certificate – Copy of diploma/degree certificate showing degree earned. Unofficial diploma/degree certificate may be uploaded through your application portal, but official copies must be submitted prior to beginning classes.
