Biography

Professor Phrosini Samis-Smith teaches in the undergraduate health care leadership program. She holds a master’s degree in clinical exercise physiology from Indiana University Bloomington in addition to a master’s degree in sports management from Valparaiso University. She completed her doctorate in health education from A.T. Still University. Professor Samis-Smith has been an adjunct professor for the past 10 years at Prairie State College, teaching fitness and exercise. For the past 15 years, she was a community outreach specialist in health care for the Munster Community Hospital’s Fitness Pointe.
