Professor Zentz joined the nursing faculty after serving as Coordinator of Nursing Admissions for three years. In addition to overseeing the undergraduate nursing program as Assistant Dean, she teaches a variety of courses in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. Her clinical background includes pediatric oncology, pediatric intensive care, general pediatrics, pediatric home health, and staff development. She has work experience as a staff nurse, training specialist, and pediatric clinical nurse specialist.
Dr. Zentz has been certified by the NLN as a nurse educator since 2008. She serves as a member of the Advisory Board for Ivy Tech Community College School of Nursing and is an active member of National League for Nursing and Sigma Theta Tau International, Zeta Epsilon Chapter.
Her areas of interest include pediatric nursing, nursing education, evidence-based practice, and information literacy. Dr. Zentz has published book chapters and articles in a variety of professional nursing publications including Professional Journal of Nursing, Journal of Pediatric Nursing, Journal of Nursing Education and Worldviews on Evidence-Based Nursing. She serves as a peer reviewer for Journal of Pediatric Nursing and Journal of Nursing Education.
