Undergraduate Majors and Minors

The CVA department offers flexible degree paths for students who want to develop the most essential skills of expression and creative collaboration.

MAJORS

Majors in the CVA department prepare students for work in the constantly evolving fields of communication, digital media arts, and studio arts. Internships are required for most majors.

MINORS

Students majoring outside of the CVA department can develop their skills and credentials through one of the department’s five specialized minors. Any of the minors can be completed with 15 credit hours of coursework.

  • Art
  • Communication
  • Digital Media Arts
  • Journalism
  • Public Relations

FOR NON-MAJORS

Our classes are open to students from across the University. That gives students from any major the opportunity to improve their communication and visual art skills and enjoy the creative process. All students benefit from the diverse classroom community and discussions that include insight from future nurses, engineers, teachers, and more.

Telling stories is my passion, especially in video form,
so I just fit in.
