VP Julie DeGraw: Important Residence Halls Update

As you have heard today’s email from President Heckler, it has been determined that courses at Valparaiso University will be delivered remotely for the remainder of the semester. This email is to address any questions you have regarding your current housing situation resulting from this change.
Any residential student who is currently living on campus and wishes to remain in campus housing until further notice is required to complete the new Spring 2020 Campus Housing Request Form by Monday, March 23, at 5 p.m. After this date and time, all non-registered students will be expected to be out of the residence hall and will lose card swipe access.
Please Note: Students who choose to remain in campus housing may be relocated to a different residence hall than their current assignment due to health, safety, and staffing reasons. It is also possible that you may be required to vacate campus in the future if new circumstances arise.
Any student who is not currently residing on campus and would like to return to campus to move out of their housing assignment, please complete the Campus Housing Departure Form. This form will notify the Residential Life Office about when you would like to arrive on campus, so that arrangements can be made in advance (ex. swipe card access). For the safety of all, we will be spreading out those who desire to return by having you sign up for a specific date and time to collect your belongings. If a student wishes to leave their personal items in their current room, they may do so. All student property must be removed by noon on May 13, 2020.
