Health Center: Telehealth Option as Part of Student Insurance

To: Students
Posted: March 27, 2020 at 2:05 p.m.

The Valpo Health Center is working remotely answering voicemail and email throughout the day, as well as receiving medication refill requests via fax from your pharmacy. If you have general questions for the Health Center staff email health.center@valpo.edu or call the main number 219.464.5060.

If you have a medical concern or question call 219.464.5352 and a provider can help direct you to the appropriate medical care.

For students with United HealthCare Student Recourses (UHCSR), the University-sponsored insurance, “Telehealth” is an option if you need healthcare and unable to seek outside medical care; this service is available to you at no cost.  telehealth4students.com

If you currently are NOT a UHCSR member, you can also utilize this service for a $40 consultation fee.  We also encourage you to look into your own insurance coverage and see if they offer a telehealth option, as most insurances have similar products.
