These are also opportunities to pick up some valuable skills and learn key life lessons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some of the organizations that would welcome your service are listed below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.abroaderview.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>A Broader View<\/strong><\/a><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Healthcare minded volunteers have worked in small clinics, regional hospitals, community health programs, midwifery and also projects assisting adults and children with special needs.&nbsp; Social welfare placements are based in schools, orphanages, day care centers, nursing homes as well as national parks and conservation projects.&nbsp; A Broader View can arrange 1-2 week placements as well as semester long options. If you browse the above link, you will see there as well that there are a number of degrees related to social justice-based themes. These social work pioneers, and those who followed, believed that addressing all of the root causes of poverty would help their clients build success moving forward. Our members protect and restore national parks, marine sanctuaries, cultural landmarks, and community green spaces in all 50 states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Social Work &#8211; Master&#8217;s programs online<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Consider an online MSW program that is currently taking applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Urban Servant Corps<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.urbanservantcorps.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Urban Servant Corp<\/a>s is a program of the ELCA and hosts volunteers in Denver for one year as they practice intentional community building with one another, live simply, explore spirituality and serve full-time with a nonprofit partner agency that serves marginalized and vulnerable communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>VISTA<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The LSA\u2019s Community Resilience Building VISTA Program is part of a new proactive, holistic, and measurable approach that builds upon the existing social services offered by local social service organizations that affect key resilience levers.
