Secondary education majors who seek certification with English as their primary content area must meet the following course requirements, completing at least 36 hours of work in English.

Foundations

B.A. students in English at Valpo who are completing a complementary major in Secondary Education must complete the general-education requirements for the B.A in addition to the requirements for their majors. This University-wide core strengthens communication and critical-thinking skills while introducing the student to global cultures and traditions.
