Early Entry Graduate Programs Meets English Studies

Thinking about earning your M.A. in English Studies and Communication

In today’s competitive, global marketplace, a graduate degree is often crucial to future success and a prerequisite for many advanced careers. Valparaiso University offers an incredible and affordable way for students to enroll into graduate studies during their final undergraduate year.

The Master of Arts in English Studies and Communication is a flexible, 36-credit program in English language, literature, and communication.

However, with the Early Entry program at Valparaiso University, earning your M.A. has never seemed more accessible. Currently enrolled undergraduate students at Valpo may apply for Early Entry in the program, and, if provisionally admitted, to enroll in graduate coursework during their senior year that may be applied to both their undergraduate and graduate degrees.

For Early Entry students enrolled in the English Studies and Communication program, you are eligible to begin taking nine credit hours of classes that will apply to both your undergraduate and graduate programs.

The English Studies and Communication program has a 36-credit requirement; however, with the Early Entry program, students can earn their M.A. only a year after finishing their undergraduate education.
