Julia Bowlds ’19 French with International Business

Upon graduation, Julia found a position where she actively uses her French — when booking trades, communicating with investment managers in France, and translating different French trading documents for US based investment managers. She also deals with many clients who are based in Canada who prefer to speak French.

Carrie Monahan ’00 French with IECA

After a stint in the Peace Corps, Carrie pursued a career in international development, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown U. She then worked in DC in international development (both for the US Government and an NGO).  She now works in Morocco for Millennium Challenge Corporation, a US Government agency whose mission is to reduce poverty through economic growth.

IREX, International Research & Exchanges Board, is a non-profit organization headquartered in D.C. Prior to graduation, McKenzie obtained an internship through the CAPS Fellowship Program at World Food Program USA.

Reillie Acks ’13 French with Economics, Math

Reillie works in Geneva, Switzerland at Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, which is an alliance between WHO, UNICEF, CDC, and the World Bank.  Reillie obtained her Masters’ in Development Studies, The Graduate Institute of Geneva.

Now working out of San Francisco for Level 3 Communications, in his previous position Max worked for 5 years out of Chicago for a French company, Orange Business Services as a Global Account Manager.

Elizabeth Balge ’10 French with IECA

Elizabeth obtained her Post-Baccalaureate Teaching Certification which has allowed her to pursue her passion for French by teaching at the high school level.  She has also worked as a translator and an assistante d’anglais in Laval, France.
