Faculty Fellowships
Joyce Hagen ‘79 and Donald Fites ‘56 have committed $2 million to establish faculty fellowships in the Valpo colleges from which they graduated. The Joyce Hagen Endowed Faculty Fellowship will support the College of Nursing and Health Professions and the Don Fites Endowed Faculty Fellowships will support the College of Engineering.
Study Abroad Scholarships
Kathleen ‘82 and Robert ‘82 Hansen will make it possible for Valpo students who participate in Study Abroad programs to receive scholarship support. The couple has committed $3 million to establish the Robert and Kathleen Hansen Endowed Scholarship for Study Abroad.
Emergency Scholarship Assistance
Andy Nunemaker ‘91 has established an endowed fund to assist students faced with emergency situations so severe that it threatens their Valpo academic careers. He has committed $500,000 for the Andy Nunemaker Emergency Scholarship Assistance Fund and to support the Valpo Fund.
Director for Institute for Leadership and Service
Peter ‘65, ‘70 M.A. and Bonnie Thalacker ‘70 Raquet have committed $3 million to establish the Endowed Director’s Chair for the Institute for Leadership and Service. The endowment will provide a permanent source of support for the Institute’s programs that prepare students for lives of leadership and service.
Unrestricted Endowment and Scholarship
Marian Schaper ‘72 Moon and the Rev. Anthony Moon have committed $1.25 million to support Valpo’s unrestricted endowment ($1 million) and to establish the Marian J. and Anthony B. Moon Endowed Scholarship Fund ($250,000).

Wounded Veterans Scholarship
Ron Zech ’65 and the late Gisela Gerber ’66 Zech have committed $1.5 million to established an endowed scholarship fund for wounded veterans and their family members.
Endowed Faculty Support for Engineering
Jan and John Draheim ’64, M.S., have committed funds to establish an endowed fund for faculty development in the College of Engineering.
