In addition to material submitted as part of your School of Law application, to be considered for admission to the Graduate School, you must submit:

  • This completed and signed application form;
  • 3-4 page essay explaining your rationale for applying to the Master’s program;
  • Two letters of recommendation;
  • A set of official transcripts of all prior undergraduate and graduate coursework sent directly to the Office of the Graduate School;
  • $20 application fee, made payable to Valparaiso University. This amount is in addition to the fee indicated on the first page of the School of Law application. If the School of Law application fee has been waived, the application fee for the Graduate School is still $20.

Applicants for the dual degree programs are required to submit a 3-4 page personal statement or reflective essay indicating their purpose for undertaking graduate study and how this study relates to their professional and personal goals. Feel free to include a resume as an addendum to your application.You may complete your reflective essay as part of this electronic application or you may email it separately to Graduate.School@valpo.edu. The decision for admission to the Graduate School is not final until all required application materials have been received. Applicants granted conditional permission to register for classes due to delayed receipt of transcripts may not be allowed to continue their coursework if they do not satisfy the admission requirements.
