Public Service Loan Forgiveness

If you are employed by a U.S. federal, state, local, or tribal government or not-for-profit organization, you might be eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program. As a not-for-profit organization, Valparaiso University is a PSLF qualifying employer.

In addition to the free PSLF resources listed above, the University is proud to offer Savi! Savi is a social impact tech company which offers a service that can help you successfully take advantage of programs like PSLF.

Savi has a Do-It-Yourself option which allows you access to all the necessary forms. In addition, you may select the Savi Essential service and receive 1-on-1 support from student loan experts for only $60 per year. All the paperwork employment certifications and e-filing will be handled each year:

  • Digitally prefill and submit all paperwork on your behalf
  • Yearly recertification of repayment and forgiveness plans
  • Ongoing application monitoring to ensure you cross the forgiveness finish line
  • Get annual enrollment reminders, and updates on new programs and policy changes
