Doreen received her bachelors in Business Management from Calumet College of Saint Joseph in 2000 and her Master’s degree in Liberal Studies concentrating on Ethics and Values from Valparaiso University in 2013. Doreen began working at Valparaiso University in 2007 for the Church Vocation Programs and then transitioned and added to her duties as the ILS Administrator back in 2011 when Jan Rubsam retired from the University. Doreen is always fascinated by all the invited guest presenters, preachers, presiders and musicians and their talents within Liturgy and Liturgical Art. She knows that God is well pleased with his children. Doreen is currently working on a TESOL Certificate to help other immigrants learn the English language. Recently, her and her husband became licensed Transitional Foster parents for an Organization called “La Jornada.” This organization helps immigrant children who recently crossed the USA borders and puts them in safe homes until they can officially be reunited with their family members who are already here in the USA. Doreen is married to Arturo Flores and their have 3 children of their own; one adult living on her own and 2 still at home, one in high school and their youngest is in 6th grade. In Doreen’s spare time she likes to play women’s volleyball, outside gardening at home and travel with family.
