Institutional Effectiveness
MISSION
The mission of the Institutional Effectiveness office is to contribute to the success of Valparaiso University by providing pertinent information to decision-makers in administrative offices and academic departments.
FUNCTIONS
- Collect and compile data such as enrollment, retention and graduation rates, student demographics, academic profile of students, faculty data, and institutional data
- Create reports demonstrating data trends from year to year
- Disseminate information
- Inform decision-making
- Provide support and contribute to assessment efforts
- Prepare reports for accreditation visits
Accreditation:
List of accrediting agencies, timeline of accreditation, and badge links.
Assessment:
Plans of academic departments, student learning objectives, reports on success of plans.
Institutional Research:
Reports such as the Common Data Set, enrollment, outcomes, etc.
Student-Right-to-Know
Information provided in compliance with the federal government’s Higher Education Act of 1965, including health and safety reports, graduation rates for athletes, financial aid information, and more.
