Information Technology is pleased to announce that we will be upgrading all Windows computers on campus to Office 2013, beginning this summer and finishing in the fall. Computer labs on campus will all be reimaged during the summer, and finished in time for fall classes to begin.

We will be upgrading the Christopher Center Alcove area on the first floor in the next couple weeks. If you are interested in taking an early look at the software, please feel free to visit the Alcove anytime the Christopher Center is open.

For staff and faculty computers, we will be able to take advantage of the functionality of our new Active Directory network and push out the software to computers automatically.

In preparation for these upgrades, please contact Becky Klein (becky.klein@valpo.edu or x5986) if you will need an older version of Microsoft Office for your academic or professional needs, or have particular add-ons or a special configuration for your current software.

We also want to extend the invitation for you to upgrade your computer sooner by becoming an early adopter of Office 2013. If interested, please contact Paul Lapsansky (paul.lapsansky@valpo.edu or x5103). You will be able to help us in streamlining the process.

Training opportunities and documentation will be available in the summer to help your transition to Office 2013 be as smooth as possible.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Becky Klein and we will be happy to work with you to address your needs.
