Biography

David M. Rolling, Ph.D., holds an appointment as associate professor and director of the Sports Management undergraduate and Sports Administration MS/JD programs within the Department of Kinesiology. In this role Dr. Rolling teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in sport law, finance, facility management and development, psychology, sociology, marketing/promotions/fundraising, and research methods. He is also the internship coordinator for the programs.

Dr. Rolling holds a doctorate of philosophy in Sport Administration from The University of Kansas, has published or been interviewed in Athletic Business, Prairie Business Magazine, and The Sponsorship Connection, and was a reviewer for the Cyber-Journal of Sports Views and Issues. He has presented at North American Society for Sport Management conferences, the International Conference on Sport & Society, the Florida Sport Administration and Physical Education conference, as well as various campuses across North America. His consulting work includes bid proposals, contract negotiation, facility design, and hiring committees.
