The Language and Intercultural Learning Center facilities intercultural learning opportunities to support Valparaiso University faculty and staff development in the area of intercultural competence.

Podcast Parlor – Fall 2024 



This fall, LINC hosts a new opportunity for Valpo faculty and staff. Podcast Parlor is an occasional group for faculty and staff interested in discussing matters of language and intercultural perspectives. The group meets five times this semester, each time on a Thursday, 12 noon – 1:15 pm. This is a flexible group – attend any or all discussions, depending on your availability and interest in the podcast topic. The first discussion will take place on September 12. IDI Planning Group – Fall 2024 

If you’re a faculty or staff member who has completed the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI), you are invited to join a short term group to help you begin your IDI Plan. The first IDI planning group discussion is tentatively scheduled for September 19.

Distinctive Program – Spring 2025

The center will design and facilitate one distinctive program for faculty and staff who have committed to further developing their intercultural competence. This group will likely meet throughout the spring semester. Details will be announced in late Fall or early Spring.
