2018 Law Review Symposium Speaker Bios
Professor Nicole Negowetti works as a Clinical Instructor in the Food Law and Policy clinic at Harvard Law School. Previously, Professor Negowetti was a Policy Director for the Good Food Institute, and served as an Associate Legal Professor at Valparaiso University Law School. Currently, Professor Negowetti serves on the Food & Drug Law Journal Editorial Board and is a founding member of the Academy of Food Law & Policy, and the Northwest Indiana Food Council.
Brianna Schroeder is an Attorney at Janzen Ag Law, with experience in farming and agribusiness. Ms. Schroeder litigates complex environmental and agricultural matters. Ms. Schroeder also works in negotiating and drafting contracts for agricultural companies and farms. She has additional expertise in agricultural business, livestock operations, fence law, food law, wetland compliance, drainage issues, and other industrial agriculture related topics. Ms. Schroeder has been awarded “Up and Coming Lawyer” by Indiana Lawyer and Indiana Superlawyer’s Rising Star.
Samuel Henderson serves as a freelance legal and patent translator and a Legal Fellow for the Hoosier Environmental Council. Mr. Henderson is a member of the first stewardship crew for the Shirley Heinze Land Trust. Mr. Henderson works on environmental-related legal issues and is knowledgeable on many topics, including the interactions of industrial agriculture and climate change.
