image001John C. Ruck ’64 67, recently retired as a judge of the 14th Circuit Court, Muskegon County, Mich., following 17 years of service. He and his wife, Marilyn (Fischer, 64), reside in Whitehall, MI.


image003 Andre B. Gammage 85 ’88 JD, was appointed a magistrate judge of the St. Joseph Circuit Court by Judge Michael Gotsch. Gammage was previously a managing partner of Berger Gammage & Associates, an administrative law judge for South Bend’s Department of Code Enforcement, a deputy prosecutor and public defender. He is the 3rd black attorney to serve as a judge in the county.

image005 Carol Montavon Bealor 93, is closing the Law Office of Carol Montavon Bealor in Niles, MI where she has practiced since 2004 to serve as the Cass County, Michigan Friend of the Court Attorney Referee where she will hear family court cases. Her new contact email is

image007 Eric R. Doden 97, will serve as Chief Executive Officer of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation. Doden most recently worked as a principal for Domo Ventures LLC, a boutique private equity firm located in Fort Wayne.

image011 Jon R. Rogers  ’06, welcomed a new addition to his family: Brooks Harrison David Rogers was born Monday March 25, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital in Carmel.  He weighed in at 8 lb, 7 oz and is 21 inches long.  Mom Kelli, Dad, Brother Colton and Sister Harper are all doing great. 

image013J. Sebastian Smelko 07, recently accepted a position as General Counsel to the Ports of Indiana. Smelko was formerly Associate Counsel to Governor Mitch Daniels.

Alecia M. Schmuhl 09, has joined Bean, Kinney & Korman, P.C. in Arlington, Va., as an associate attorney in intellectual property and business transactions.
