Valparaiso Law Honored by the Kimbrough Bar Association
On Saturday, April 21, the Kimbrough Bar Association honored Valparaiso University Law School with an award at the Annual Legacy Ball held at the Majestic Star Casino and Hotel. The Kimbrough Bar Association is comprised of lawyers of color who practice in Northwest Indiana and the Chicago area and the award was given in appreciation for Valparaiso University Law School’s support and many contributions to the Association throughout the years. This support has come in the form of membership, scholarships, sponsorships, event participation, and event hosting.

Dean Andrea Lyon accepted the award on behalf of Valparaiso University Law School and alumnus James Brandon Dillon, Sr. (‘13) acknowledged the numerous Valparaiso University Law School alumni in attendance during the ceremony and noted the positive impact they have on the Association. Valparaiso University Law School has produced the majority of the Kimbrough Bar Association’s membership as well as the majority of past presidents, including Hilbert Bradley, whom the Association’s scholarship is named for.
