The Health Center provides professional and confidential health care and educational wellness programs for full-time students.
The professional psychologists, counselors, and social workers in Valpo’s Counseling Service offices promote wellness and personal growth with a variety of services focused on personal, interpersonal, and family issues through individual and group consultations as well as education and outreach.
It oversees the following programs:
- the Counseling Center promotes mental health through individual therapy and outreach services;
- the Office of Alcohol and Drug Education works to prevent substance abuse through education; and
- the SAAFE Office provides support for survivors of sexual assault and educational outreach to prevent sexual assault.
ACCESS AND ACCOMMODATIONS
The Access and Accommodations Resource Center provides accommodations, support, and special programs that are individualized to work toward student success.
You can join a variety of fitness classes to keep in shape led by the Recreational Sports staff, including indoor cycling, tabata, turbo kick, Pilates, Piloxing, and yoga.
Work out when it works for you. Students can play racquetball, basketball, volleyball, run the track, and more at the Athletics-Recreation Center. At the Fitness Center, you can work out with equipment for weight training and cardiovascular workouts.
