Valparaiso University is committed to maintaining campus health and safety as we navigate a global pandemic. As we plan for fall operations and in-person instruction, we are looking to the guidance of local and national health experts so that we can begin a return to normalcy for students, faculty, and staff starting in August 2021.

In order to provide the safest, yet least restrictive, experience, Valparaiso University will require every full- and part-time faculty and staff member to complete a COVID-19 vaccination program by Aug. 1, 2021.

All Valpo students will also be required to complete a COVID-19 vaccination program before coming to campus this fall.

Any individual age 16 or older can schedule a COVID-19 vaccine in the state of Indiana at the Indiana Department of Health website. If you wish to be vaccinated in another state, you can register for vaccine appointments on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website. You can also call 211 to schedule a vaccine appointment over the phone. In the near future, our Student Health Center will also be offering vaccinations. Stay tuned to its website for vaccination availability.

You must send proof of vaccination to Human Resources using this form at the conclusion of your vaccination program. If you have already submitted proof of full vaccination to Human Resources, you do not need to do so again.

If you need to request a medical or religious exemption from this required vaccination, please email for further instructions. For the health and safety of those that qualify for an exemption, and for the health and safety of our campus community, you may be subject to regular COVID-19 testing, isolation, quarantine, or other measures consistent with CDC guidance. If you have any questions about this policy, please email Human Resources.

Thank you for helping to protect the Valpo community and fulfill our commitment of an in-person campus experience this fall.
