Math Colloquium: Callie Beagley
The MST department welcomes Callie Beagley (National Government Services) as our colloquium speaker on Friday, January 15 at 3:30pm in GEM 120.
Title: Employment and Having a Degree in Mathematics
Abstract:
We’ll discuss employment opportunities outside of teaching and research/academia, as well as median salaries for mathematics degrees. Our talk will then focus on Ms. Beagley’s career and some of the problems she has worked on. Problems we will discuss can be solved by methods from operations research and statistics.
