Jamil Khoury

Jamil Khoury is Founding Artistic Director of Silk Road Rising. Khoury’s plays focus on Middle Eastern themes and questions of Diaspora. He is particularly interested in the intersections of culture, national identity, sexuality, and class.

Khoury is a Kellogg Executive Scholar (Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University) and has been awarded a Certificate of Professional Achievement in Nonprofit Management. Khoury is the 2010 recipient of the 3Arts Artist Award for Playwriting.

William Nelson

William E. Nelson arrived at the New York University School of Law as a first-year student more than four decades ago, and he has been active as a legal historian since the publication of his first history article in the Annual Survey of American Law in 1966. During the intervening years, Nelson has published two prize-winning books, eight other books, and numerous articles in leading law reviews and history journals.

The Rev. John Arthur Nunes is Valparaiso University’s Emil and Elfrieda Jochum University Professor and Chair.

Nunes comes to Valpo from Lutheran World Relief, a $49 million global organization, where he served as President and CEO since 2007, leading staff in 17 countries in working to end poverty, injustice, and human suffering worldwide.

Sheryl WuDunn is the first Asian-American reporter to win a Pulitzer Prize. She is a business executive, lecturer, and best-selling author. Currently, WuDunn is a senior managing director with Mid-Market Securities, an investment banking boutique helping growth companies, including those operating in the emerging markets.
