Valparaiso University CFO Named Board Chair for National Association of College and University Business Officers

Sept. 30, 2021 – Valparaiso, Indiana – Susan D. Scroggins, CPA, ’04 MBA, senior vice president for finance at Valparaiso University, is the 2021–2022 board chair for NACUBO, the National Association of College and University Business Officers.

“It is an honor to serve such an esteemed organization in this capacity,” Scroggins said. “I have learned a great deal from my NACUBO colleagues over the years, and I look forward to collaborating with our board of directors and NACUBO leadership to move the organization forward over the next year.”

NACUBO’s board sets the strategic direction for the association and provides advice and oversight during and between its regular meetings. As chair, Scroggins will prioritize advancing diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives as well as advocating to support the efforts of staff to provide relevant and timely information of importance to chief business officers.

A member of the Valparaiso University community since 1996, Scroggins has served in several financial and administrative capacities: assistant controller, controller for financial projects, director of administrative and financial services, and associate vice president for administration and finance, and vice president for administration.
