Valparaiso University Hosts St. Baldrick’s on Nov. 7

WHO: The men of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity at Valparaiso University will host an event benefitting the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.

As the largest private funder of childhood cancer research grants, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation has given hope to children and their families since its beginning in 1999. The foundation is a nonprofit organization that depends on the generosity of volunteers and donors to raise funds and has raised more than $250 million in research grants.

WHAT: St. Baldrick’s is a three-hour fundraising event filled with music, food, and shaving. Volunteers sponsored by family and friends shave their heads or “chop” off their ponytails for children who typically lose their hair during cancer treatments.

WHEN: Sunday, Nov. 7, noon – 4 p.m.
