Cyber security is a global necessity, with new threats to private information arising every day. Given the global need for cyber security expertise, Valparaiso University tries to assist international students who seek to further their education and enter this high-priority field.
Though we are not currently accepting non-U.S. residents living abroad, we continue to accept applications from international candidates in the United States on non-student visas and U.S. residents living abroad. We evaluate these applicants on a case-by-case basis. It may be helpful to contact a U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate for more information about pursuing education abroad.
To be considered for admission, international students for whom English is not a native language must submit proof of their proficiency in English, which involves satisfactory scores on the TOEFL or IELTS exam. We encourage international students who need services to improve their English language proficiency to access Valparaiso’s INTERLINK Language Center. Additionally, students who completed all or part of their education outside the United States, must submit a NACES-accredited transcript evaluation. Click here for a list of evaluation providers that meet this requirement.
Please note that since the program is offered entirely online, Valparaiso University cannot provide an I-20 document to students of the Master of Science in Cyber Security program.
