Vice President for Student Affairs
Julie DeGraw, Ph.D., joined Valparaiso University as the vice president for student affairs on Aug. 26, 2019. As the vice president for student affairs, Vice President DeGraw provides leadership and management to co-curricular student affairs at Valpo as their senior university officer.
Additionally, she delivers strategic leadership to offices and programs including the Career Center, Residential Life, Fraternity and Sorority Life, Harre Union and Student Activities, Office of Multicultural Programs, Student Counseling Services, First-Year Students, Orientation, Commuter Programs, Dean of Students, and the Student Health Center.
Vice President DeGraw has nearly 30 years of experience in higher education, most recently serving as the vice president for student life and dean of students, Title IX and ADA coordinator at Bluffton University in Bluffton, Ohio. Prior to that, she was the dean of counseling, advising, transfer and disability services at the College of Lake County in Grayslake, Illinois, among other universities.
